Who are we?

At Freeday we take the robot out of the human. We take over repetitive tasks with our digital employees, ranging from automatic invoice processing to personalized journeys for employees and customers. We do this by building a solution based on a selection of the right tools for the job, ranging from simple logic to multiple ML models working together. We build this on a platform that allows us to scale these solutions easily, allowing us to onboard clients in weeks instead of months or years. Technically this means our vision is a modular and composable platform with reusable and configurable components for scale and custom components for the true customer-specific part.

Will you help us scale our digital employees to take the robot out of the human?

We are looking for someone who can help us scale our technology, architecture, and team. Our solutions are already running at a few clients but to accomplish our mission we need to go big! We are a fresh, energetic, and stable company with driven and quirky people in need of an engineer to help us make better choices in architecture, technology stack, and process. Someone who can mentor and support our more junior developers while at the same time tackling some of our more hairy issues.

  • develop production-grade solutions
  • decide which technologies and solutions best solve a problem,
  • ensure other developers build quality products, improve themselves and improve the team, and
  • troubleshoot and fix our toughest issues.

What skills do you bring as a Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for someone who can provide us with at least the following:

  • 5 years of experience with software development.
  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products
  • 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
  • You have a fun interest we know nothing about.
  • English proficiency in writing and speaking
  • A degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • Familiarity with (or enthusiasm for) our tech stack including things like:
  • Google Cloud Platform
  • Serverless infrastructure (f.e. AppEngine)
  • Python & Django REST framework
  • PostgreSQL
  • React
  • Laravel
  • Everything ML (Tensorflow, AutoML, VertexAI, etc.)
